Import
Module CSV
CSV imports and readiness settings are available to signed-in administrators. Module leaders can propose an update from the module’s View / propose update button.
Paste the header row and module rows, or select a CSV file. Quoted commas and multiline notes are supported. Current CSV headers are preserved exactly; obsolete spreadsheet columns are ignored.
Review a module update
Review proposed values and conflicts before accepting changes.
Set up next year’s modules
Select the future academic year and roll over the previous year’s modules first. Then open the Export tab and use Export selected year CSV, add the new Blackboard IDs in its Instance IDs column, and import it back into the same year using Merge. Keep the other columns intact so records can be matched, then Save to server.
For multiple instances, separate IDs with semicolons, for example _140001_1; _140002_1.
Export
Edits are drafts until you save to the server. Download modules.js as a backup or upload it manually to your hosting folder.
Settings
Configure readiness for the selected academic year. Changes remain in your draft until you save to server.
Server data
Reload the saved version of the tracker. This replaces your current draft after confirmation.
How readiness is calculated
Complete ÷ applicable checks × 100
In progress and Not started count as incomplete. Not applicable is excluded. Each included check has equal weight.
Checks included in readiness
Choose the checks that contribute to the selected year’s score.
Manage readiness checks
Additions and retirements apply from the selected year onwards. Historical statuses are preserved. Names are shared across years; create a new check if its meaning changes.
Edit or reorder existing checks
Expand a check to rename, reorder or retire it.
Readiness check guidance
Shared across academic years. Expand a check to edit its instructions. Leave the description blank to hide it, then save to server.
Bulk readiness override — administrators only
This updates every recorded module in the selected academic year, including modules marked as not running. Search filters do not limit this action. Other academic years are unchanged.
Catalogue-only modules without a readiness record are not changed. This replaces the selected check’s imported value where applicable; staff names and contact details are retained.
Confirmation is required. Changes are applied to the draft; use Save to server to publish them.
Readiness is calculated from checklist entries. It does not automatically inspect Blackboard content or validate module links.
